Original Contemporary & Traditional Electric Folk Rock!

Do you enjoy the music of Fairport Convention, Jethro Tull, Steeleye Span or Richard Thompson?
We do! Influenced by these artists, yet sounding entirely like ourselves, we are:

[Uncle Dirtytoes!]

Here we are . . .

"Sitting down to enjoy the music of Uncle Dirtytoes is a real treat!
It has all the inspiration, nuances and optimism that remind me of why I got into writing and performing music myself, so many years ago.
Long live real music!"
- Ian Anderson, Jethro Tull.

Some Upcoming Films you might want to read about . . . ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hey, check out these websites to read about some of Mark's films in the works . . . Kansas vs. Darwin, a documentary about the Kansas evolutionary hearings (not all of us here in Kansas have such a shallow view of the history of the earth!). www.kansasvdarwin.com. We're sending it off to festivals around the world and are hoping/planning for theatrical distribution. Also, AIR - go to air.throughaglass.com for details on this wonderful narrative feature film project by Lawrence filmmakers - shooting is complete and the rough cut has been sent off to film festivals, weeee!

Film Festival News!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The 16th Annual Harvest of Arts Film Festival will take place hopefully on Friday, Oct. 5 at the Granada Theatre, 1020 Mass. St. in beautiful downtown Lawrence, Kansas! They seek all types of films for the festival - experimental, narrative, documentary, music videos, whatever makes your heart sing or your toes tap (or other body parts reverberate in other strange and exciting ways).   Push the boundaries . . . but do it quickly - we have two hours to feature all the short films.   If you have something, don't compress, pixilate and FTP it up to be lost to the faceless masses on the web - write today and we'll get it up in front of a crowd of friends and neighbors where you can hear them ooh and ahhh . . . or jeer and sneer!

If you have a short film you'd like to enter (any genre, any format - as long as it is short - preferably under 10 minutes), email the address between the tilda's:~~mark at uncledirtytoes.com ~~
