Stewardship is the act of taking responsibility for your life, your family, your friends, your town, your country and your world. We all live on this "Big Blue Marble" in this part of the galaxy and if we do not take care of it we could be found homeless in the universe. As Christians that means "loving your neighbor as your self". It also means caring for your neighbor and their needs as well as your own. Our neighbors are not just those that live in the houses next to ours but everyone on this planet is our neighbor. We can dislike what they do but we must also remember that they are God's creation as well and that He loves them and quite probably weeps over their mistakes as you weep over your children’s mistakes but forgiveness is His nature and should be ours also.
In our Scriptures we have a message brought to us from God by the prophet, which says "Stewardship is the RESPONSE of my people to the ministry of my Son..." That response should include our life, our resources and our love for our fellow man.
